Due to current conditions and the forecasted wind chill tomorrow morning, Wednesday February 19th will be a Snow Day for Kingsville R-1. We will make a decision by 6:00 pm tomorrow for the following day, but please be prepared for the possibility of a closure or late-start for Thursday due to the predicted wind chill.
The Kingsville R-1 School District will have our last AMI Day on Tuesday February 18th, due to incoming inclement weather. K-6 students will complete Day 5 of their AMI packets, while 7-12 students will work on assignments downloaded on their Chromebooks or through Google Classroom. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher. Please also be prepared for other closures this week due to extreme cold and wind chills. Any additional closures will be considered traditional Snow Days. We will take each day at a time and will try to announce closures before 6:00 pm for the upcoming day. Thank you for your understanding and patience during this time.
Tonights game at Wellington-Napoleon has been pushed up to 5pm with only 2 quarters of JV and varsity boys to follow. Bring that Tiger Red up to Wellington tonight, everyone!
Due to anticipated winter weather on Tuesday, 2/18, the homecoming game vs. Chilhowee has been moved to Friday, 2/21. It will be a varsity only contest beginning at 6 pm with the homecoming crowning to follow and the dance after the crowning.

Sign Up Days Saturday February 15th and 22nd, 2025

Sign -Up Day for the Kingsville Summer League Baseball/Softball/T-Ball will be Saturdays February 15th and 22nd from 9:00am until 12:00pm at the Kingsville School located at 101 E. Adriatic St. If you are interested in signing up your child to play on a GWSRL roster and cannot turn in your form on February 15th or 22nd, please complete the form (sent home with your child) and return with payment by Monday February 24th, 2025. You can return your form and payment to the Kingsville School office by placing it in an envelope labeled Kingsville Ballpark Sign-Up; attention Anita Hunter or mail your completed form to Tammy Aldridge at 1739 SW 195th Road, Kingsville, MO 64061. Please make checks payable to: Kingsville Youth Recreation Association (KYRA). Checks will not be deposited until we confirm teams which will be on or after March 21st, 2025. Kingsville R-I Family,
The forecast is showing a chance of potentially inclement weather for Wednesday February 12th and Thursday February 13th. At this time, we are planning on being in school, but to prepare for the possibility of severe weather, we will send home paper packets with all K-6 students today.
If we decide that the conditions warrant an AMI day on Wednesday and/or Thursday, students will complete these packets at home. Our teachers have already instructed students on how to complete their work.
In the event that we have an AMI day, announcements will be made through notifications, SMS messages, emails, posts, and news stations.
Having an AMI day allows us to continue teaching and learning without needing to make up the day later this school year. If the forecast indicates inclement weather, we will send paper packets home in advance. If we do not send them home and severe weather occurs, we will cancel school for the day, which would require a makeup day.
Please leave AMI packets in your child’s folder until it is needed for inclement weather.
It is crucial that students access and complete their assignments on an AMI day, as this work will contribute to their grades and attendance. Failure to complete the work will result in an absence for that day. Students will have 24 hours upon return to school to get their packets turned in for grades and attendance.
Thank you for your understanding, and we hope to see all of our students on Wednesday February 12th as well as Thursday February 13th.

Monday is GAMEDAY!
Join us as we recognize our senior athletes and show off the future of our Tiger Cheer! JV will play 2 quarters at 5:30, followed by varsity. In between games, we will recognize our 7 seniors, and at halftime of the varsity game, the future cheerleaders will perform. Pep Band will also be performing, and the Senior Smorgasbord begins at 5!
