Many of our high school students and staff enjoyed treats this week from the Grand Opening of the Kingsville Cafe! Mrs. Treece's Family Living class created a business plan, applied for jobs, and are now working together to run a cafe for students and staff.

Good morning,
In the event of a weather related closure we wanted to make everyone aware of the procedures we will use. First of all, we do try and make these determinations as early in the morning as possible. However the weather does not always happen exactly at the time and manner in which we prefer. We strive to make these decisions and communicate before 6:00am, but please understand that sometimes that is easier said than done. The first step in our communication occurs through our app and website. With that we are able to send messages directly to/through our Facebook page, text messaging, and mass phone calls. Please make sure that you have the app (Kingsville R-1 School District), follow our Facebook page, and parents/guardians please make sure your phone numbers are entered on your child's parent portal account. If you have the app already we advise that you set your preferences to allow notifications from it. We will then contact TV news stations 4, 5, 9, and 41. Do not rely on these as your first and only source, as we are not able to control how soon and how often they relay our information. Please be safe and hopefully we are all here at school on Wednesday!
Good afternoon Kingsville!
Quick reminder that tonight is Homecoming! Our girls basketball team will tip-off against Miami at 5:30, followed by the boys. Recognition of our Homecoming court and crowning ceremonies will take place during halftime of the boys game. We also have the Homecoming dance for 7th-12th grade students starting right after the boys game until 11:00. We hope you can come out and show your support.
The Missouri School Boards’ Association (MSBA) and Missouri Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), with support from The Leadership Academy, want to learn about Missouri parents’ attitudes on teaching through an online survey. Please encourage parents in your school district to complete the survey. The survey is available in English, Spanish, Arabic, Dari, Swahili, and Vietnamese from the drop-down menu. MSBA and Missouri PTA hope to use the information gathered from this survey to help elevate the teaching profession with resources districts can use to supplement local recruitment and retention efforts. The survey will close January 30.
