Valentines Day is almost here and we are planning for Spring Parties at Kingsville Elementary. We need parents to volunteer to create, plan and run a station in-person on February 13th. Once we get all the volunteers, we will email the volunteer station group with more info. Please include your email that you want us to share with the other parents in the group so that you can contact each other and make plans for your station. If you do not want us to share, please let us know how other parents can contact you. Communication and cooperation with other volunteers and the school will be needed to create a successful station and party for our students.
Our parties are times are split into two different groups:
The K-2nd grade party will happen on February 13 from 12:55-1:55.
The 3-6th grade party will happen on February 13 from 2:00-3:00.
Please plan to be here 5 minutes before your station to set up and be ready when students arrive. You will need to sign in at the office and go to the multi. Your students’ class will meet you there. If you are taking your student home with you after the party in a car that night (instead of other regular transportation) please make sure you let your child's teacher know that morning.
This is not a supply sign up. When you and your station team have planned your game or activity your group can let us know what supplies you need and we will request supplies in another sign up.
If you are able to help please complete this sign up ASAP (no later than Monday 1-27-25) so we can begin planning and gathering supplies.
Thank you!

The Kingsville R-1 School District will have an AMI Day on Tuesday, January 21st, due to extremely cold temperatures. We apologize for the change in plans, but the safety and warmth of our students are our top priorities.
Tomorrow, K-6 students will complete Day 1 of their AMI packets, while 7-12 students will work on assignments downloaded on their Chromebooks or through Google Classroom.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher.
Thank you for your understanding and patience during this time.

The Kingsville R-1 School District will be in session on Tuesday January 21st.
Please keep your morning bus riders inside or in your car until the bus pulls up. Buses will wait longer at each stop tomorrow morning to allow kids to stay warm, so no one is waiting outside to be picked up.
Thank you!

Good morning! Below is a sign up link to work concessions and gate at the Youth Basketball games beginning Saturday, 2/1. We would appreciate your help!

Kingsville R-I Family,
The forecast is showing a chance of potentially inclement weather for Tuesday,
January 21st. At this time, we are planning on being in school, but to prepare for the
possibility of severe weather, we will send home paper packets with all K-6 students
today.
If we decide that the conditions warrant an AMI day on Tuesday, students will
complete these packets at home. Our teachers have already instructed students on
how to complete their work.
In the event that we have an AMI day, announcements will be made through
notifications, SMS messages, emails, posts, and news stations.
Having an AMI day allows us to continue teaching and learning without needing to
make up the day later this school year. If the forecast indicates inclement weather,
we will send paper packets home in advance. If we do not send them home and
severe weather occurs, we will cancel school for the day, which would require a
makeup day.
Please leave AMI packets in your child’s folder until it is needed for inclement
weather.
It is crucial that students access and complete their assignments on an AMI day, as
this work will contribute to their grades and attendance. Failure to complete the work
will result in an absence for that day.
Thank you for your understanding, and we hope to see all of our students on
Tuesday, January 21st.

Kingsville R-I Family,
The forecast is showing a chance of potentially inclement weather for Tuesday,
January 21st. At this time, we are planning on being in school on that day, but to
prepare for the possibility of inclement weather, we will send Chromebooks home
with all 7-12 students when they leave today.
If we decide that conditions warrant an AMI Day on Tuesday, all students will
complete work virtually for the day using their Chromebooks and Google Classroom.
Our teachers have instructed all students on how to access their assignments and
provided instructions for completion. For those without internet access at home, there
will be work available that can be accessed offline.
Should we determine that Tuesday will be an AMI Day, we will communicate this via
notifications, SMS messages, emails, posts, and news stations.
Having an AMI Day instead of simply canceling school allows us to continue teaching
and learning without needing to make up the day later in the school year. If we
anticipate inclement weather, we will send Chromebooks home in advance. If we do
not send them and severe weather occurs, we will cancel school for that day and
make it up later. It is imperative that students access and complete their
assignments, whether online or offline, as these will count toward their grades and
attendance. Failure to complete any work will result in an absence for that day.
Thank you for your understanding, and we hope to see all of our students on
Tuesday, January 21st.
